Ontic Entia is the umbrella for the software projects of an independent developer, Phanes, doing business as OnticEntia (the "Operator", "we", "us"). These terms govern your use of onticentia.ai and of every Ontic Entia sub-project, app, or site that links to them (together, the "Site"). The current sub-projects are listed at onticentia.ai/projects. By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Ontic Entia is a family of personal software projects. onticentia.ai itself is the hub: a live globe showing where current visitors are, a members-only chat platform with an AI participant and channels tied to each project's source repository, and a public gallery of the sub-projects with links, source code and downloadable Android builds. Sub-project sites and apps provide whatever their own pages describe. Everything is a hobby project, offered as-is and free of charge.
The Site does not sell goods or services. You may choose to make a voluntary donation to support hosting and development, on onticentia.ai or on any Ontic Entia sub-project site. All such payments are processed by Stripe under the OnticEntia account, are not payments for any product, service, membership, or feature, and confer no rights, benefits, or obligations on either party. The Site actively monitors for abusive traffic. Requests that look like scanning or exploitation attempts are logged, and the originating IP address may be blocked from this Site and from other sites operated by the same Cloudflare account. See the Privacy Policy.
You keep ownership of anything you post or upload. By posting it you grant the Operator a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and transmit it as needed to run the Site (including showing it to other members of a channel and passing it to the AI features when they are invoked). The Operator may remove content or attachments at any time, for any reason, without notice.
Some features generate responses using machine-learning models, which may be hosted by the Operator or by a third-party provider. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. It is provided for information and entertainment only and must not be relied on for legal, medical, financial, security, or other professional decisions.
Software offered on the Site (including Android APK files) is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Install it at your own risk and only on devices you control. Where a project links to a source repository, the licence stated in that repository governs the code.
The Site links to and relies on third-party services (for example Cloudflare, Stripe, GitHub, and Google). The Operator does not control those services and is not responsible for their content or practices.
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE OPERATOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF USD 10 OR THE AMOUNT YOU DONATED IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
You may stop using the Site and request deletion of your account at any time. The Operator may suspend or terminate access to the Site, or any part of it, at any time without notice.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the Operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be brought in the courts of that state.
